Wedding Photography
About me...
"I have taken a well deserved break from wedding photography for 18 months partly, to give myself some time with my family at weekends, a big home move back south but also to let the 'creative mojo' recharge!
Since the move back to the south I have been persuaded to return to weddings.
Here we are so lucky; the light is so crisp, beautiful wedding venues and there are plenty of special locations for that gorgeous set of photographs."
If you book me you get me! - I am shocked as I found out some Isle of Wight wedding photographers who are booked to capture someones special day send someone else out to photograph it. This runs the risk of relying upon the photographs to be heavily edited in an attempt to make them look reasonable.
I was recently called to supply a price for my services by a photographer stating 'they were too booked up to take on all weddings' so they wanted to send a photographer under their 'umbrella' name and then supply the images for editing - This does not show respect to the wedding couple who are spending a lot of money for their special day.
You need to be sure your wedding day is in the hands of an experienced photographer who not only can capture the magic of the day but also become a part of it.
You only have this one chance and having an experienced photographer will make the difference. So invest in a professional photographer who can produce a set of photographs you will be proud to show off to your friends and family for years to come. They will become an integral part of the family and an heirloom to leave for you children and grandchildren as weddings naturally contain the majority of the extended family all in the photographs.
You need a photographer who can command a crowd, pose the groups with speed and humour but attention to detail at all times. A photographer standing to the side snapping away with no input is fairly easy to do however this often disappoints. From my experience a mixture of this with other styles will provide a good set.
I am fully insured and carry plenty of back up equipment on the day, all charged and checked the day before and we have plenty of contact in the run up to the wedding for peace of mind.
Wedding examples...
This was a church wedding starting at the bride's parents' home, followed by the reception at a lovely country manor set deep in the country.
A very long and hot day ending in a hog roast and a spectacular firework display.
This was an outdoor wedding set in beautiful gardens. The couple had a theme to the wedding which was Pixar's 'UP'. Heaps of colour everywhere helped of course by the English sunshine!

PRE-WEDDING SHOOT
All bookings will receive a pre-wedding (engagement) photo shoot at a lovely location - for free!
This will enable us to establish how to work with each other and is an invaluable experience. It's like a lesson in posing for the big day.
You'll be told how to stand correctly, have some creative individual and romantic 'couple style' photos taken. It's also a good chance for us to decide upon what works for you in terms of photographic style.
Images will be edited and supplied free in digital format.
What next?
Contact me to check if your wedding date is free in the diary.
I will send you a brochure with all the price options available to you.
Next we then need to make an appointment for an initial chat over a coffee and to look at the options.
Usually this is done at my meeting room in west wight however if it's difficult then I can come to you.
Ideally there are no distractions so you can concentrate on planning your special day.
And most importantly, there is no commitment or pressure to book.
